Information on Personal Data for the Safe Family Service for Locon Customers
We are the controller of your personal data used in the service, including in mobile applications (Locon Safe Family) and on the website www.loconsafefamily.com.
I. Privacy Policy: Information for Service Subscribers (Locating Person, User)
Your data will be used in accordance with this privacy policy, in particular for the purpose of creating an account in the service and providing the service (legal basis: contract execution and performance) until the service is deactivated.
To create an account, we require a phone number and optionally a name and email address (this is a requirement based on our policies, not legal regulations).
Additionally, the data will also be used to create summaries, analyses, and statistics for our internal purposes. This includes reporting, marketing research, service or network development planning, IT system development, creating statistical models, and support services, including informing about outages and tailoring support based on service usage data or previous complaints – during the term of the agreement, and afterward, no longer than the statute of limitations (legal basis: our legitimate interests).
In other aspects, the detailed rules for processing your personal data related to the service can be found at www.locon.pl/zasady-ochrony-danych-osobowych. This page contains information on additional purposes and data processing periods, your rights, how to exercise them, cases of data transfer outside the European Economic Area, data recipients, and our contact details.
Information obtained from your device:
1. What do we store on your device?
In our application, we use a solution that enables the storage of certain information on your device (phone, tablet) to facilitate the use of the application or our service ("Local Storage"). This is used, among other things, to enable encrypted connections to our service, store login data, and save application settings.
Storing information on your device via Local Storage or accessing it does not cause configuration changes to your device or installed software.
You can delete the information stored using Local Storage at any time by uninstalling the application and, depending on your operating system, clearing the app cache in your device settings or logging out of the app.
Since the application remains active until you log out, you should ensure that unauthorized persons cannot access the device where the app is logged in.
2. How do we use tools from other providers?
By using tools from other providers, cookies or tokens may be placed on your device, and access to stored information may be granted to providers:
- Firebase or Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) and Facebook: These collect unique app instance identifiers and general app usage information for improving app functionality and content.
- Firebase (Google Ireland Limited): for sending PUSH notifications. This tool collects information such as app usage, device model and OS, app settings, sent PUSH notifications, unique app instance identifier, network type, and IP address.
Details on how Google Analytics and Facebook collect and process data can be found on their respective pages: Google's policy and Facebook's policy. These pages also explain how you can control the information collected.
You can withdraw your consent for the use of these tools at any time by changing your device’s OS settings, using blocking tools provided by the providers, or uninstalling the application. PUSH notifications can be disabled through the app settings or your device's system settings.
3. What device functionalities do we access?
The application requires access to certain functionalities of your device to deliver services as expected. Below is a detailed description of these functionalities and their purposes:
- Access to Contacts: Used to simplify selecting a person you wish to locate. Only the contact details of the selected person (phone number, name, photo if available) are processed for the purpose of location services. Other contacts are neither processed nor stored.
- Access to Camera: Used for scanning QR codes when adding devices for location services and capturing photos of the person to be located. These photos are used solely for location services and are not stored for other purposes.
- Access to Location (e.g., GPS): Used to add safety zones based on your current location. Location data is used only when adding a zone and is not collected or transmitted in the background.
